Austin WRISE – Texas State of the Industry 2021

Austin WRISE – Texas State of the Industry 2021

We’re about to hear the 2021 Texas Renewable Industry and Legislative update – less than an hour to start!

We hope everyone is recovered from February 2021 in Texas! Power went out for millions, wholesale prices spiked for days, water pipes burst, and ERCOT trended on Twitter. The Texas Freeze sparked conversations around the country about the Texas Grid and power generation, including renewable energy. With the Texas Legislature in session through May, changes for power generators and other participants in the Texas Energy Market could come swiftly.

Susan Williams Sloan of ACP, and Becky Diffen and Christy Rivera of Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) will guide a discussion on everything from hedges to winterization, as well as what we hope to see happen this session. This happy hour and discussion will give members an opportunity to hear both from these industry leaders and from each other on impacts to and next steps for the industry following the extreme weather event. We hope you’ll join us!

Please RSVP via Eventbrite

Reminder: WRISE events are open to anyone.  Membership is not required, and please feel free to invite both your male and female colleagues.
