BBC Features The Massive Wind Farms In West Texas

It’s nice to see some global exposure for West Texas, but the video segment ended on a really weak note.  The BBC reporter throws out a broad generalization, essentially saying all Texans are in it for the money. Clearly the landowners aren’t complaining about the $10,ooo checks they’re receiving, but to flatly say Texans aren’t concerned with climate change is a bit hasty.
"The numbers are staggering. This one county, Nolan County, hosts no fewer than 1,400 turbines. Texas has as many as 6,000 overall. Combined output: something like 9,000MW, roughly the output of nine power stations."
